Sign a new home card for the First Minister to call out the national scandal of thousands of families trapped in temporary homeless accommodation in Scotland.
The new First Minister and his family have landed themselves a cosy temporary home in Edinburgh while Bute House gets a facelift. But Humza and his children's experience couldn't be further from the harsh reality faced by the 14,000 households trapped for months, even years, in temporary homeless accommodation.
They will only stay in their temporary home for 20 weeks, but the average couple with children facing homelessness in Edinburgh is trapped in temporary accommodation for over two years.
By sending the First Minister a new home card, we can remind him exactly what’s at stake and what his government must do to ensure everyone has the opportunity to leave temporary accommodation like he and his family can.
Social housing ends homelessness, but new figures reveal that the rate of social housing construction has dropped to its lowest point since 2016 – this is intolerable.
Until Humza Yousaf and his team commit to delivering more quality social homes, thousands will remain trapped in our broken housing system.
Sign the new home card today and let's make our voices heard. We demand an end to this worsening housing emergency so that everyone in Scotland knows the safety and comfort of home.
